Euganean Hills

In addition to the natural beauties, the hills offer remarkable tourist-cultural opportunities: the village of Arquà Petrarca, the villa Barbarigo , the Catajo castle, the Air Museum, Villa dei Vescovi , the National Atestino Museum, …. You can wander along the cycle paths both flat and uphill, crossing the most attractive places in our territory; you can practice all kinds of sports or relax at the renowned Euganean spas.

Padua and surroundings at 28 km

For years the most important attractions of Padua were three summarized in:

meadow without grass(Prato della Valle) one of the largest squares in Europe with a central island surrounded by a double ring of 84 statues.
Santo senza nome(Basilica of S.Antonio) the most important church of the city contains the relics of S. Antonio da Padova.
café without doors(Caffè Pedrocchi) one of the largest and most famous cafes in the world so called because in the golden age (until the beginning of the 1st World War) it was open day and night.

Padua , a city of great charm, can be easily reached by car or train. Casket of an artistic and cultural heritage that enchants the traveler with its architecture made of walls, churches, squares and buildings of incomparable beauty.

With Giotto ‘s frescoes he saw the birth of modern painting. Artists of the caliber of Giusto da Menabuoi , Guariento , Donatello , Mantegna have chosen to work here.

Its Botanical Garden has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a cultural asset and has now amplified its great beauty with the ultra-modern Biodiversity Garden.

Romantic Venice at 45 km

Seeing Venice is a unique opportunity due to its proximity and favorable rail links that bring the tourist directly into the magical atmosphere of Venice.

Verona at 95 km

Literally erected in layers where, on a Roman base made of imposing monuments and evocative ruins, elegant Romanesque churches, Gothic tower houses and richly decorated Renaissance palaces of the long and prosperous Venetian period are grafted, creating suggestive views and beautiful squares.

Ring of the Euganean Hills – E2 at 300 m

Just 300 meters from the farm you can access the cycle path that runs through the territory of the Euganean Hills.

Along the 64 km of the ring , which run mainly on the banks of historic waterways, landscapes of rare beauty and great historical-cultural value follow one another, still deeply marked by an agricultural activity that, we can say, continues the great reclamation works of the past. There are extraordinary historical centers, characteristic villages, significant architectural emergencies.

Walled Cities

Some routes within Montagnana, Monselice and Este, towns with marked medieval characteristics within the city walls.

Monselice at 5 km

he has always lived history as a protagonist as a connecting bridge between the hills and the plain. With the Este family it became civitas murata. In 1405 the Venetians embellished it with patrician residences. To see Cà Marcello, Villa Nani, the Ancient Cathedral, the characteristic street of the seven churches and the splendid Villa Duodo designed by Scamozzi.

Este at 5 km

inhabited since the Neolithic age. The exceptional collections of the National Atestino museum testify to the cultural and commercial importance of the ancient inhabitants of the area. Around the year 1000 Azzo II arrives here, a very powerful feudal lord who derived the name of the Este family from this city. The castle is mighty, the Cathedral of S. Tecla is magnificent, splendid villas with parks designed by Japelli. Famous Italian and foreign personalities such as Shelley, Byron and Debussy have been hosted here.

Montagnana at 18 km

splendid medieval fortified city that owes its incredible walls to the lordship of the Carraresi. Walls still intact in their entire length of 2 km with 24 mighty hexagonal towers each of which almost 20 meters high. The highest tower is the famous keep of Castel S. Zeno. Famous for the Palio and for the incomparable Sweet Raw Ham of Montagnana.

Historic Gardens

We suggest you visit the numerous gardens of the Province of Padua, extraordinary examples of monumental and plant architecture ; an ancient art that has contributed to making our architects famous in the world.

Some are the gardens of the Venetian and Palladian Villas which are located near the Euganean Hills and are easily reachable from the farmhouse.

Proposal to discover a small cross-section of the Vicenza area with Vicenza, Bassano del Grappa, the legendary Marostica and other places, easily reachable from the farmhouse.

World Heritage Site and a splendid city of art, known as the City of Palladio , for the treasures that the famous Paduan architect lavished on it.
